✅ Description:
Noteron contains Norethisterone, a synthetic progestogen with potent ovulation-inhibiting properties. It mimics the actions of progesterone and exhibits mild estrogenic and androgenic effects.
- Absorption: Rapidly absorbed via the gastrointestinal tract
- Duration of Action: At least 24 hours
- Excretion: Primarily through urine

✔️ Discontinue Use Immediately If:
- Severe or sudden migraines develop
- Vision or hearing disturbances occur
- Chest pain or tightness (signs of thrombosis) arise
- Jaundice, hepatitis, or persistent itching appears
- A significant rise in blood pressure is detected
- Surgery or prolonged immobilization is required

✔ Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding:
- 1 tablet three times daily for 10 days (bleeding usually stops within 1-3 days).
- Withdrawal bleeding occurs within 2-4 days after stopping treatment.
✔ Preventing Recurrence of Dysfunctional Bleeding:
- If ovarian function has not resumed, 1 tablet twice daily from the 19th to the 26th day of the cycle.
✔ Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) & Mastalgia:
- 2-3 tablets daily from the 19th to the 26th day of the cycle, for several cycles.
- Symptoms may remain controlled even after discontinuation.
✔ Postponement of Menstruation:
- 1 tablet three times daily, starting 3 days before expected menstruation.
- Menstruation resumes 2-3 days after stopping.
✔ Endometriosis (Pseudo-Pregnancy Therapy):
- Start on day 5 of the cycle with 2 tablets daily.
- If spotting occurs, increase dose to 4-5 tablets daily until bleeding stops.
- Treatment lasts 4-6 months or longer if necessary.
✔ Menorrhagia (Heavy Bleeding):
- 1 tablet 2-3 times daily from day 19 to day 26 of the cycle.
Use only under medical supervision.

- Pregnancy & Lactation
- Severe liver dysfunction (including Dubin-Johnson & Rotor syndrome)
- Liver tumors (past or present)
- Thromboembolic disorders
- History of idiopathic jaundice, severe pruritus, or herpes gestationis during pregnancy
- Hypersensitivity to Norethisterone or its excipients

⚠ Increased Risk of Blood Clots:
- Users of hormonal medications (including Noteron) have a higher risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE), heart attack, stroke, and subarachnoid hemorrhage.
- Noteron should be used cautiously in patients with a history of clotting disorders, severe diabetes, or sickle cell anemia.
⚠ Liver Tumors & Hepatic Risks:
- Rare cases of benign and malignant liver tumors have been linked to hormonal therapy.
- Severe abdominal pain, liver enlargement, or signs of internal bleeding should be investigated immediately.
⚠ Carbohydrate Metabolism:
- Diabetics should have their glucose levels monitored before and during treatment.
